A rather Spartan front fender rides between the beefy blackout stanchions with a matching dark-finish headlight can, tripletree and handlebar to visually tie it all together. The exhaust note is slightly damped at low speeds, but starts howling beautifully when ridden only slightly hard - i think it's the best stock exhaust sound. Total mass was reduced by 6 kg. I only got 2 hours on it but it sure is fantastic to be on. In normal cruising, the motor has minimal vibration, and I love that burbling drone of the exhaust note. The Sport and Street modes adjust the level of aggression at the throttle, as well as reduce the level of intrusion for the two-level traction control. Had mine for a year and done over 7k miles. That planted a seed that grew into a well-rounded appreciation of all things mechanical, and eventually, into a formal education of same. They're well documented but limited range i get 140 miles out of a tank generally, but on a steady motorway 70mph get much, much more. In January 2017, Triumph announced they would replace the 675 cc Street Triple with a new range of 765 cc 46. The 120mm front tire with 32 psi cold is equally reliable. It's light and easily flickable. This inline triple runs a dramatically oversquare layout with enlarged, 78 mm Nikasil-coated bores and a 53. Test riding the Street Triple was an outright revelation. Only issue so far is the drive chain which is definatley one link too long as standard. An additional number outside the box will number would be prefixed with the letters 'A' or 'B to identify the component. Standard mirrors give a very restricted view and have limited adjustment. That said I've toured really happily on it - it's really comfortable and there's enough room to hunker down at speed, or sit relatively straight. Good points - looks fantastic with old style twin round lights. Handles like a dream and is fairly comfortable on longer journeys too.
